Methandrostenolone (Dianabol)(HARMFUL)
One of the earliest anabolic steroids (Dianabol, "D-bol"), an oral 17α-alkylated compound used for rapid bulking mass and strength.
Benefits
Why it is abused: fast, pronounced gains in size and strength early in a bulking cycle. Not an endorsement of non-medical use.
Risks
Strong water retention and blood-pressure rise, liver toxicity, gynecomastia (it aromatizes to estrogen), adverse lipid/cardiovascular effects, and testosterone suppression. Prescription-only; banned in sport.
