Ashwagandha
Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) is an adaptogenic herb traditionally used for stress. Several small randomized trials report modest reductions in perceived stress, anxiety, and cortisol, with some signal for improved sleep, though studies are short, small, and industry-funded. It is generally well tolerated, but rare cases of liver injury have been reported and it may interact with thyroid and sedative medications.
